When a Push Pump is pressed, the air inside the pump activates the reed.
Place it on a desk etc., and press or strike the top middle centre of the instrument to play. Press slowly to produce a sustained note, pressing quickly produces a staccato sound. By varying the intensity alters the dynamic.
